Welcome to the Duke Nukem Forever section of the Duke Nukem Unofficial Wiki. This section will contain information on everything known on the current build of the upcoming sequel to Duke Nukem 3D as well as information on all the previous builds of the game. Due to Duke Nukem Forever (DNF for short) being currently in-development some information may be subject to change.

[edit] Release The Duke "Movement"

Following 3D Realms shutdown, and with the fate of the game's future being a mystery, a group of fans calling themselves the "TeamNukem" have started a movement with fans all-over the World, calling this collection of Gamers, Fans, etc as "The Gamers Of the World". They've started a Movement of Sorts with an Online Petition, THE RELEASE OF "DUKE NUKEM FOREVER" petition[1], with currently over 1000 signatures, it is still growing at a faster rate, and asks all of the supporters to sign the petition urging Take-Two Interactive to put the Duke Nukem Forever Publishing rights to fruition. This petition has grown at an alarming rate following the leak of a gameplay video by a former 3D Realms Employee, (video)[2].This group of fans have also started a Blog, "The Team Nukem Blog for THE CAUSE"[3], a YouTube video channel, DukeNukemDNF[4], with a Video Petition, a Digg! Page, Duke Nukem Forever Petition!!![5], A Twitter page, @releaseDNF[6], which supposedly has the DUKE himself tweeting!

And these fans seem to have come across a Facebook Group, "Save 3D Realms and Duke Nukem Forever"[7], which is also working for the release of the Game and are holding a few Fund-raising events for 3D Realms developers. This Group also has a 3D Realms Developer as an Admin, and so the TeamNukem have supposedly integrated themselves with this group.

They seem to have a valid email ID for this "Movement" with it being teamnukem@gmail.com, and supposedly reply if one is willing to commit to the cause.

They use this phrase after each of their Posts, "To the Cause, And For the Greater Good". Rumored to be a quote from the Game itself. It is yet to be seen if this "Movement" causes any effect on the game's possible release, but the fans argue that such an effort would bring this to Take-Two Interactive's notice and could lead to a possible continuation to the game development.
