The Devastator is a weapon found throughout most games in the franchise.

[edit] Description

The Devastator is a twin-rocket launcher weapon which spits out small rockets at an impressive rate of fire. The accuracy becomes less effective at longer ranges.

One should be aware when using the Devastator; it fire 2 rockets simultaneously and therefore each time the player fire the weapon the ammo count drops with 2. You can fire a max of 5 'times' before running out of ammo. Obviously it takes far less rockets to kill weaker opponents like Assault Trooper's or Sharks - just 1 shot if accurate enough.

The Devastator is immediately recognized by its dual appearance, unlike any other weapon in the game.

The weapon is the most powerfull when it comes to an enemy with more hit weapons. Unfortunately it is not very effective in multiplayer combats.

[edit] Trivia

  • The Devastator has no defined hit points or splash damages in USER.CON, the game will instead use the ones of the RPG with 1/4 of its values.
  • The rockets fired by the Devastator have no smoke trails, resembling the big rockets fired by the Cycloid Emperor.

[edit] Tips and Tricks

  • Chews through the ammo pack in just a few seconds; always keep an eye on the ammo counter when using the Devastator.
  • Although it doesn't inflict the same amount of damage as the RPG it can be used much more efficiently in close combat due to the fact that the splash damage is minimal.
  • The Devastator, except for the small amount of ammo, doesn't really have any huge weakness. It can kill weaker, Assault Troopers or Captains, to more dangerous enemies, Assault Commanders and Protector Drones and even Mini Battlelords, with just a few rounds and even bosses can be killed within a few seconds.
