The Dropship is an enemy in Duke Nukem Forever that ferries troop reinforcements.
Description
The Dropship is a large alien flying vehicle that look similar to the Gunship. They have an open hatch in the middle which allows them to deploy their load. They are usually encountered dropping off Pig Cops, Assault Troopers, Assault Captains, and Assault Enforcers. They do not have weapons of their own to attack Duke.
Just like the Gunship, the Dropship can be shot down but only with turrets or explosive weapons. They have more health than the Gunships which makes them very hard to shoot down before they deploy the aliens. After deployment, they will usually fly away. The only Dropship that keeps deploying troops is encountered at the last level while Duke fights the Emperor. It will keep dropping troops by twos everytime the previous two are destroyed. Since it never leaves (except when the Emperor dies), it is one of the few Dropships that can be shot down easily.
