Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour (also known as Duke Nukem 3D: World Tour) is a 2016 remake of Duke Nukem 3D, the third Duke Nukem game, released in 1996. DN3D: World Tour was released on October 11, 2016 at 8:00pm ET. The PC version is only available as a digital download; the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game are both available in the form of a digital download or a physical disc release.
The game includes the original three episodes from the full version of Duke Nukem 3D, the fourth episode from Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition, and a new episode fifth episode ("Alien World Order") by original level designers Allen H. Blum III and Richard “Levelord®” Gray. In the fifth episode, Duke Nukem kicks aliens' ass around the world in Amsterdam, Moscow, London, Egypt, Rome, Paris, San Francisco, and Hollywood.
DN3D: World Tour has a new 3D renderer, better audio quality with new one-liners, and, if the player wants, level designer commentary. The game is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Steam.
DN3D: World Tour has one new enemy called the Firefly Trooper. Like the Shrinker and Microwave Expander, Duke can change between the Freezethrower and a new weapon, the Incinerator, which allows Duke to burn enemies.
The player can now access the secret exit to Faces Of Death without cheating. In addition Faces Of Death also has an exit button; in the PC version it originally didn't and was only ever intended for multiplayer death matches. This secret exit can be found in The Abyss but if the player does this level they will have to play through the entire Abyss level again as the only way to complete L.A. Meltdown is to defeat the Battlelord. Prior to this the player could only access and complete Faces of Death in the PSX Total Meltdown port without cheating.
